unfortunately "Gougeon Brothers on Boat Construction" is currently out of print, although rumors are another run will be printed this spring.

You can get a copy on Ebay for $25 or so, or look in used bookstores for a copy.

A guy in Georgia built a 40-something foot strip-planked sailboat in his backyard and put up a nice website about it. This was pretty recent -- the boat was launched a year or two ago. He described the whole process from drying his own wood to shopping for deck hardware. Unfortunately I lost the link, and I haven't been able to find it again. This is an entertaining and informative read for anyone interested in such a project. Does anyone have the link I'm thinking of?
