Positioning x,y,z cordinates for stability calcs

    Ad Hoc Naval Architect

    Historically we have use both, ie either starting at AP or FP. But in general we start from the AP. Simply because, as already noted on this thread, we draw the bow on the right.

    Adding or moving stations etc in the computer/PC era doesn't really make much difference. It is all a couple of clicks to change either way.
