what is it?

    HELP! what is this boat

    i have a 11' fiberglass v bottom boat
    it looks like a scarab
    i was told it was made in michigan
    anyone know what it is or who made it

    It's a flat-water rocket, and a rough-water death trap.

    Hard to tell the make from the photo, there were so many little builders who made stuff like that. Perhaps if you look up the registration number with the cops or whoever does those in Michigan; or take a look at the first 3 characters of the HIN code (top-starboard corner of transom) which are the builder's unique ID code. I'll see if I can find a HIN builder-ID list somewhere.

    Try looking on the inside of the transom, starboard top corner. HIN plate is supposed to be on the outside but may be somewhere else. Might also be on the capacity plate. If it's not there, the boat's probably been modified or repaired at some point and you'll have to rely on the sharp eyes of forum members here...
