Given the weight of your Big outboard, its far rear location, the narrowness of your hydro hull at the rear and the lack of being able to use strut angle (as in an inboard) to obtain some lift, and given you seem to be willing to modify the hull ..... I would forget about modifying up front and focus on how you might get additional lift in the back.

High mounted rear sponsons which run out of the water when the boat is up on plane could well help considerably with lifting the back of the boat at speed ..... Here is a Link to a site that shows what I'm suggesting:

Note that the beam/width of the sponsons at the transom should be exactly the same as the widest measurement across the pickles.

yep i got something like that going on back there already very similar to dan ellisons outrigger design
but the foot print on the sponsons is still not holding under full power

Ellison's rear sponson's do not have any appreciable Lift to them at speed ..... If in fact if you've attached anything like them to your hull then, essentially all you've done, in your case, is add more weight to the rear of your boat resulting in minimial, if any benefit toward solving your dynamic cg problem.

Note, that I know Dan pretty well and know well the origin of his 'design' ... .....

If you pull out your wallet and buy a faster boat, then what? Sell that one and buy an even faster one? And then what?
I'd rather learn something rigging and re-rigging it to get that last mph out of it with my own doing. Even when you screw up you learn from it. More fun to me. Whatever floats your boat. Looking for a new boat is fun too when you've put all you got in.

You first have to understand what causes what to happen and why its happening sitting in a seat you can see whats happeing lots pictures and lots a video that you are able to sill fram and rewind and go over and over looking at whats happening !!what you are doing is all guess work and with lots of ummmmm??
Be scientific about what you are doing !! Hydros are the fore runner of tunnels so they are simular but totally differant !.
In my early days of getting into tunnel boats i spent hours reading , then many hours going to racmeeting and taking hundreds of pictures of all the boats there so at the end of a day i could see what boats were winning and what boats were unstable !! I was fortunate to have a friend that was a aircrft engineer and a afternoon sitting talking a many beer cans later came away with a huge amount of understanding of not only boats and hydrodynamics but also aircraft and aerodynamics , My friend was of the old school and In new zealand we had sea planes so he was able to spout off all kinds of informantion about sea planes and how and why etc etc.
I then discovered Aeromarine and what they were about and read everything i could then was time to put pencil to paper and design tunnel boats . Started with simple basic boat and a SST45 racing outboard and a test bed that could be added to slowing .
Everything that got done increased the speed ,made it safer to handle and more stable ,each modification improved performance just one step at a time . After a year of racing and testing ended up with a really nice stable little boat that could literally fly ! It could go around corners like it was on rails and never dropped any speed in the process . so get your act together and you could end up getting more help . :) I even went and worked for a company that made race boats both off shore and Tunnels , F1 were me and i loved everything about them ! they are magic !
