Go Go GO...... the ladder is a training device to strengthen your legs for life at sea... The phase you are in is soon forgotten and the excitement of "trials" and fine tuning further delays the cruise departure.... Try to remember this when you are "mid ocean" and can see no progress in your voyage as there are no landmarks to measure ones progress... Life is full of these frustrations... Look at my doomsday threads... Howled down left right and centre... I too am pissed as I crave to continue my travels and seem to be blockaded... Bugger, and this morning I was contentedly dreaming that I received a 38,000 pound sterling "grant" and in excitement woke up before banking it...

Geez, best I can tell you both need a helium balloon-or maybe just the helium and then make an audio tape for the rest of us?
Anyway, good luck, cheer up, and remember what Country Joe and the Fish said so many years ago:"Whoppee we're all gona die!"
    And they lived.

As Sam Devlin says in his book "You really have to hate a boat to finish it "

Oh well - the fruits of the weekend
now you can see the final "look"
the splash guard around the hatch is ala Roger Taylor
the roof was extended to accommodate the bigger (2x 50w) solar panels
the spin off bonus is the "dashboard" inside that is nice for mouting the instrumentation

Yes the gained "dashboard" space looks nice. Second spin off bonus could be it's a good trade off as it adds a little weight on top but it also adds buoyancy where it counts in a knockdown, so less chance to roll through and if you do it decreases inverted stability. So a little more chance to get there, but more chance added to get quick back on your feet when it happens . . . .

Now you have to do the calcs all over . . . ? ?

    Good luck !

Roofers have ladders with electric lifts so the can load bundles of shingles or concrete tiles on the flat plate and push a button and up they go 10' 16' 22' whatever. You just need a small electric motor stand on the plate and up you go 4' or 5'. I may need to make one of these on my build as it will be over 6' tall upside down. No roof until fliped.

Yeah, for Manie's job the straight one I guess, couldn't find one of matching size but got the idea

    But then . . . . .
    OK, problem solved . . :D

    Cheers,

Waaaaah MANIE, shoes off during the build process..... I would not be game to come aboard such a fastidiously clean boat... When we meet, you are welcome aboard mine - no need to ask permission....

I had "visions" of Mrs Bucket of the TV show, "Keeping up appearances" :D
