The boat in the question has a MTU V8-engine fitted to it at some point. Key to solving this mystery is the boats name, I tried googling it otherwise with slim results. The first part of the boats name is also a female name here in Finland.

Well guys, I am a bit disapointed. :p

Google Transtator gives two options for 'summer' in finnish. Only one of them is a female name. And a synonym for fast, there are a couple that could fit.

Google Maps has an image of empty frozen harbour, so I won't post that here. :)

kantosiipialus = hydrofoil craft (or vessel)

No, we are not in vladivostok. :)

kometa (russian) = komeetta (finnish) = comet (english)

Humm, Lurvio gave away the first part of name and Raggi & Kach found the brand, combined those two make the boat pop up immediately. The international word for a fast thing is also used for some kind of post. I think L took the first pic on her homeport jetty in P.

No time for a new one, so help yourself . . :p

    Good luck!

Welcome back Angelique. You might as well reveal the place. Yes, the first pic is taken in the homeport. The place is about 40km from where I live.

Here is a small image of the whole area, from Finnish Transport Agency website.

There is a lock in the background. It is the northern end of a series of five locks that connect two major lakes (Päijänne and Keitele) in central Finland. This one also has the biggest difference between water levels, about 7,5 meters. The locks were build between 1990 and 1993 by Russian construction crews. From opening to 2002 the water route was used for transporting lumber, 160 000 cubic meters on the best year, but has since been only used by boats.
