    The Chesapeake Power Boat Symposium
    June 15-16, 2012
    St. John’s College, Annapolis, MD

    Co-Sponsored by SNAME and Professional BoatBuilder

    The THIRD Chesapeake Powerboat Symposium will be held in June, 2012. As in the previous very successful Symposia held in 2008 and 2010, the symposium will feature presentations on all aspects of Power Boat design and construction, particularly relating to Hull Design and Analysis; Materials and Fabrication; Structural Mechanics; Failure Analysis and Repair; Modeling and Simulation; Tank Testing; Software, Electronics, and Systems; Offshore Racing Developments; Propulsion Systems; Regulatory Developments; and Human Factors.

    At the previous Symposium in 2010, Dr. Daniel Savitsky was honored with a special biographical presentation. In 2012 we plan to continue this practice by recognizing another individual who has made significant contributions in the area of power boat design or construction.
