I want to build a boat.I'm building the heckle off of clarkecraft.com its a runabout sport. What wood do I use for the structure. Instead of using an inboard drive could I use a jet drive? Please help. Building tips would be great.

First read some books, surf the net and look at different stock designs, buy some plans from a designer that also can advice on materials etc.
You can build a traditional wooden boat or you can use wood as a strctural fibre encapsulated in epoxy or you can use plywood skin over a wood structure...

OK, I see that Clark Craft tell you most of this.

    What does "heckle off" mean?
