The APBA is pleased to announce the newest way you can stay Up to Speed on everything Powerboat Racing… That’s right, the social community we gave you a sneak peek at last month has officially launched!

You can start using it today by registering at http://social.apba.org

The APBA Social Community provides all the features you know and love from other existing forums, but has the added benefit of social networking. Our hope is that this new social site does not replace the existing communities such as Boatdesign.net & Hydroracer, but rather it grows along side and in support of them.

With the new APBA social community...
You will be able to take part in active and trending discussions, create status updates and (perhaps best of all) it was designed to have you take it with you on-the-go through your mobile device. As you head to the water this weekend to race or play, take this community with you and share what you’re seeing, doing and thinking in real-time.

To help you get started, you will want to check out three videos prepared specifically for you.
    1. For those looking for the quickest way to get started, this video is for you: http://bit.ly/APBAquickstart

    2. For those who would like a more in-depth look at the full features of the community and how to use them all, this video is for you: http://bit.ly/APBAsuperuser

3.For those looking for additional instructions on how to complete your online boater profile, this video is for you: http://bit.ly/boaterprofile

You are encouraged to share these videos and the http://social.apba.org link on your other social networks, communities, and forums to help your APBA get the word out.

Of course, this is just the start of an exciting digital transformation that APBA has embarked upon. You can share your ideas for future phases and let us know what you think by posting in an open discussion thread called: New Community – What works and what doesn’t?

So… get signed up and HAVE FUN!
