Jet skis. Personal watercraft. Whatever they're called, they are a menace, but the season doesn't open until Oct. 1 and I only have one tag this year.

A major annoyance IS ANYTHING NON METRIC. Im presently...at 2300...covered in grease and hydraulic oil. Last week, while climbing around the chain locker, I observed a badly chafed hydraulic hose on the anchor winch gear box motor . Secured a new hose and started in on the repair as soon as the anchor went down this evening. To change this hose the hydro motor must be removed to gain access. That god dam motor is mounted with two non metric fasteners buried in rust. By the time I realized what was going on I rounded the head off the bolt and had to hammer split the ******* off. Once free, I remove the stud, freed the hydro motor but since I don't have any non metric fasteners on board to replace the chopped off one I had to painstakingly re tap and helicoil the gearbox for 12mm metric while standing on my head, oil dripping, in an impossible blind corner. Three hours to tap two fasteners. WHO THE HELL USES NON METRIC ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am annoyed when I reach for an English wrench and pull out a metric one.

I find that road drivers who are incompetent and drive too slow, (20kmh under the speed limit when 5% over - with a little care and caution, - will not attract a fine/penalty...), are a real pain in the 'ponsonby'... Even worse when they slow right down to a crawl to have a good gawk at an accident...

I'm annoyed by people that are so easily annoyed.

The majority of people call a Nimitz class aircraft carrier a boat, it's life and these people also invest in commemorative dinner plates as their retirement plan.

Lanyards keep thing aboard boats, so does rubber banding a pencil to the side of cylindrical objects, so they don't roll.

I think PWC make wonderful moving targets, to practice leading a shot with a BB gun, so make lemonade folks, it's fun.

Metric is for those "other people" that need an easier, more logical system to help them through life's difficulties. Most of us real craftsmen have both SAE and metric, plus an odd assortment of Imperial if necessary. And for those occasions when a metric wrench comes out, instead of the needed SAE, try painting all the metrics with bright orange so you know at a glance which ones not to grab.

Masalai, think of these as "prey" and remember you get extra points for those under the age of 6 and over the age of 65, unless they're in wheelchairs, which is less sporting, though often more fun.

That is annoying but I am left wondering, how many Maglites you will buy and lose before you simply purchase a head lamp?

...and people who like to ruin other people's fun because their own lives are so miserable they want to drag everyone down to their level.
