Adding vee to cat hulls

    Mike,

    It is a a 44' round-bilged hull designed by Robin Chamberlin. The fix is not beautiful, but who cares, as it is underwater. If it solves the issue, it should be ok and it would take you a few days to make vs months. And it is more important to be out there sailing, than on the hardstand. In my opinon.

    Bill,

    I (very) briefly considered this, but I am very happy with the boat in all regards other than the pounding issue. In truth, it probably pounds less than most cats with lower bridgedeck clearance, it's just not acceptable to me. I suffer no illusion that this will be an easy job, but far, far faster, cheaper and easier than buying or building another.
