I suppose Gippsland would be the most accurate place description.

Ok a fair way from Oz
Some nice engineering in the bridge, what area is this yacht spending the night in? There's a free anchorage down past the port to the right but it can be crowded.

    Hi all,

I'm busy, sorry no time for play, but I'll give you a clue... the bridge to this old city* was named after him...

_bridge_name_.jpg he was the #... president of the country ;)

Nice to have a look again here :)

    Good Luck!
    Angel

    * the old city is just SE of the pictured port and out of vieuw on the right.

German-built, apparently, like a lot of the bridges across Europe. It's not in either Germany or France, though.

Here's the old fortified town just south that Angel referred to.

Google what you see to narrow it down . . . .

Put three of the visible construction details in Google images, a voila, the bridge is there in pic 1, 3, 4, 14 and 20 on the first page...

I was there long before the war. The bridge was not built then and the modern port on the right was much less developed. By the shape of the mountains and their vegitation I only roughly knew which continent and which side of it we were. But no knowledge of this place is required to find it. A Google for the construction details shown in the pictures will do as can be seen in the above screenshot...

    Good Luck!
    Angel

PS (added after it was solved)

I googled "asymmetric single pylon stay cable bridge" to solve this and to get the screenshot.

    All right [IMG]

The bridge was built by a German firm together with a local company from a nearby city, well done, go on :)

    Cheers,

OK, This is a three part question. Name this city that this boat traveled and is now on display? Name the boat? Third tell us about the drive use in this boat, I read a book about this propulsion system in the 70s. Angel has this solved already, she can give you hints if you need them.. This is easy!!!! boat engine.jpg
