    I will be heading
Up the Queensland coast, across to PNG to Samarai, Alotau, then looking for opportunities to help the villagers organise some small rural development projects as I travel around Normanby Island, Fergusson Island, Goodenough Island, N to Kiriwina Island, then E to Woodlark Island, thence ?

    When
My build should be finished in about 4 weeks?

    Mas this is sad news

Is it also a case of depression and desperation as the scope for future work, of this nature, in this **** economy is very limited.
I see this BS happen all day. They start off well and towards the end when they dont have another job to go to they drag this one out. It results in serious bad relations between employer and employee. What the dumb fu3kers dont understand it that the employer cant invoice and subsquently wont get final payment.

Sorry to hear that this "beast" has crawled into your woodwork.

Hello, hello, hello, wots this then? Masalai's pride and joy is in the water and doing what is expected... - wandering about observing the natives and absorbing and enjoying the culture...

3000 rpm with both engines and using the 15"x11"pitch 2 blade folding props and I maxed at 7.5knots... I am sitting about 2 inches high at the stern and what looks like 10 inches at the bows, (but actually probably a lot less as I could not get there to measure.)...

Moored over near Bribie Is for a while - a bit of work on the navigation stuff (aligining all so they know where North is (well all the compases agree on the same heading) and that all the instruments know where the boat is pointing... Again, so that all the instruments agree where the bows are pointing...

I am taking a 'dongle' so I can connect when the opportunity avails (not likely very often as not much by way of cellphone or internet access where I am headed for a 60 day voyage in the Milne Bay Province of PNG...

The boats name, (a Registered Australian Ship), is CNO (for my interest in coconuts and CocoNut Oil.)

A week or so around Brisbane, finalising things then a steady move northwards, inside the Great Barrier Reef to Cairns, thence wait for a weather window and clear Customs and head for Samarai, a small island off the SE tip of the mainland of PNG, where, I am told by the office of the PNG Consul in Brisbane , I may clear Customs...

PS.... My Global Economic Crisis thread and on my build (ELSEWHERE - http://boats-n-stuff.com.au - ...) has been closed...

    Brian,
Something is wrong with either props, linkages, air or fuel delivery, [I suspect props and linkages].
You're not getting anywhere near the speed and revs you should be.
Craig and Jules boat, [at 43', with a rig and 1500kgs heavier than yours] does 10.5 knots at 3200 revs from 14x11 3 bladed fixed props with the same engines as your's.
They cruise on one engine at 2600 rpm doing 6.8 knots using 1.25 lts per hr. whereas you are using around 4 lts per hr to do .7 of a knot faster and wearing out both engines to do it.
You phone isn't answering, please give me a ring.

    Hey Manie !
    Don't ask so civilised.
    We are from dark(est) Africa
(Dum dum dum... drums playing in the background)

LOL, in these ooold movies the pigmies had different drum solo's playing, for war, of death and aparently a host of other things they 'communicated' over long distances.

Seems their communication skill was overly developed back then compared to any other development that didn't happen... perhaps even morse code

Mas, the bloody camera is in the DRAW.
No, the other one. I mean other draw.

An get a bloody move on mate, we don't have all week :D

Thanks Hoyt, seems you go around playing everyone's anthems to them ;)

What pisses me off, and this is not only here but seems an infection every where that on the one hand you are told you live in a 'free' country, but so many laws get made that it is illegal to do anything.

More laws are thinking for people than people thinking for themselves. Perhaps explain a lot.

Are all anthems so morbid :D

I pray you get your country back but it may take longer than I have. I'd love to see it happen, though.

Would love to see it myself. It may not be so far off, there are a few indicators, we can only hope asap. Why won't you see it ? You haven't made plans to leave us yet, have you ?
