Actually it does have all the whistles and bells: high/low volume control for headphones, switch for X1/X10/X100 sensitivity, additionally a 0-10 dial to focus in the ten bar light show, also a parabolic attachment and a rubber hose attachment for the pick up which can also be used bare. Actually this sounds like rocket science, I am sure I am not qualified:)

The VPE has a sliding adjustment for the sensitivity, simple and it works.

    Amprobe Leak Detector

I have been using that stuff for years, it´s very simple to use.

    You easilly find all leaks.

Even with other noises at the place you can work with it.

hello Guys I made an attempt to infuse my hatch drain rail, I use a pcs of 1708 wraping it around some foam core scrap to form the inner edge. I was unsuccessful as the glass just wont lay down well without beigh wet out. so I went back to Vac. bagging with zero issues

My question is what kind of adhisive can I try as I really would like to infuse this thing. Thanks Bo

There is a good adhesive from North Star Chemicals (NG-IF), but also from Airtech (Airtac2). Many people use 3M 77 for its availability, but some seem to run into trouble, so I would not recommend this one.

    Hi Herman,

I have never used adhesives, but am tempted. I know Airtech has one which is not recommended for epoxy. 3M 77 has had mixed reviews, but since I have switched to epoxy I wonder if you hear more problems in that area than with polyester/vinylester? I realize it is difficult to sort out all the variables, which is probably why I have stayed away from adhesives this long.

    Thank you

I am using a pcs of 1708 8" wide placing it in a mold that makes a frame for a hatch/drain with a pcs of core that forms the inside edge the problem is I need something to hold the glass until I draw down the vacuum, and I use polyester resin, I have a hdw store spray adhesive maybe I will give that a try? if that fails I can wet it out and vacuum bag it!

I agree the 3M 77 Is pretty much what NOT to use.I have been using InfuZene AV and have not seen anything problematic with it.

By far the most common problem is using too much spray adhesive. Use as little as possible, and I mean LITTLE. A couple of grams per m2 is all you need.

I recommend a coloured adhesive for that, so you can see what you are doing. Lightly pass over the fabric once, from a distance. A light mist is all you need. The stuff sticks like crazy.

In case of the North Star stuff, the glue is green. A very faint green surface is all you need. In case of the Airtech Airtac2, try and get the red coloured one.
