Does anyone know of a welded aluminum jon boat kit, or plans with cnc cut files?

    Thanks,

Some of the Garvey designs would be easy enough to do plate development for. You would still have to do the scantlings and interior structure.

hi guys i got 2 kitset aluminium boats (12 ft runabouts. 1/8 thick) cut in seattle by alaska copper and brass, i paid a royalty to the designer in nz. after all costing and stuff was done, the designer forwarded the cutting files to acb, and they cnc router cut them. i will put them together second week of may when im bac at my shop. i can supply a kit aswell. kiwi

    Try these guys:
    www.metalboatkits.com/16_foot_skiff/16footskiff.htm

Its more of a skiff design than a jon boat but it might work for ya. They sell a 12' and a 16' version.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it calls for the use of oversize sheets of Al. (I think 5' X 20') I know that it makes for less welding and a fairer build, but I have a TON of 4' X 8' sheet laying around.

Its a good looking boat though...

We have a dinghy kit and a punt kit that could be customised to your needs.
