Unfortunately as the ice caps form, the coastline recedes toward deeper water. You will be able to find pre-historic campsites without the need of scuba gear.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J&J_Hunt_Submerged_Archaeological_Site

"J&J Hunt Site (8JE740) is an inundated prehistoric archaeological site located 6 km off the coast of northwestern Florida. The site which was discovered in 1989 is located in 3.7 to 4.6 m of salt water in the Gulf of Mexico along the PaleoAucilla River. In prehistory the site had at least two different occupations: a Late Paleoindian-Early Archaic and Middle Archaic (Arbuthnot 2002). The J&J Hunt site was a major focus of the PaleoAucilla Prehistory Project conducted by Dr. Michael K. Faught."

So we should expect the dry land to expand at least to this site, depending on the severity of the Ice Period.

If I interpret the techtalk right, Global Warming will create an Ice Age and the flood will freeze and make the sea shores retreat. Why didn't they say so in the first place. It is all clear as mud now.

    I think you've got it!

Never let a crisis go to waste. It is how you herd the sheeple.

"It is important to note that as sea levels rose it forced people settled along the coast to move further and further inland."

This statement cannot be right. Where do they think the manatees came from? By evolutionary thinking they just adapted to the changing environment.

It's a tie: Last year equaled 2005 as the warmest year on record, government climate experts reported Wednesday.

The average worldwide temperature was 1.12 degrees Fahrenheit (0.62 degree Celsius) above normal last year. That's the same as six years ago, the National Climatic Data Center announced.

Is Global warming going to prevent the Southern Hemisphere from freezing? I'm asking because the scientists informed the newspapers, who published it, that the Gulf Stream had stopped. I believe they never heard of inertia.

"The warmth this year reinforces the notion that we are seeing climate change," said David Easterling, chief of scientific services at the climatic data center. Nine of the 10 warmest years on record have occurred since 2000, he noted. The exception was 1998, which is the third warmest year on record going back to 1880.

Despite the overall warmth, 2010 saw record cold and snow in January and February in the Northern Hemisphere, particularly eastern North America.

_ From mid-June to mid-August an unusually strong jet stream shifted northward, bringing an unprecedented two-month heat wave to Russia and adding to devastating floods in Pakistan.

_ For the contiguous United States it was the 14th consecutive year with above average temperatures.

Picture this, freezing cold street, coldest weather for years, trains stopped running, airports at a standstill, people walking the ice covered street. In the background is a window of the convention hall and inside you can see a backboard and a man with a batton pointing to the board that says on it Global warming convention 2010.

The man with the batton looks out into the cold street as more people with scarfs and red noses begin to look in, hes says "pull the blinds would you Nigel"

thats how I'd heard it too, that "Gulf Gusher" (followed by toxic corexit) has slowed the gulf stream badly, affecting that jet stream that'd normally keep a "polar express" more northward.. as the UK is being slammed with snow like they dont normally see..
meantime the global warming carbon taxers tell us that cooling is warming?
it'd be so much easier if politicians suffered pinocchio nose growing syndrome..
maybe things are getting colder because al gore been quiet lately?

business as usual, gore says global warming and goes into business of carbon taxes,
chertoff puts a firecracker in some kids pants so he can sell naked body scanners.

one thing for sure, if it gets colder theyre gonna raise the price of fuel because of the extra demand by people trying to keep warm. if nothing else, boating will become more expensive everywhere for everyone, with exception to the politicians, because they'll just make the rest of us fill their tanks for them for free, what a deal!
