Sanded on the Trapeze dinghy today. This was the first time I’d seen it since the PC-11 had been applied. It was not as bad as I was expecting. He had done a good job of applying only a thin coat of the PC-11. I used 120 grit in the belt sander and wet sanded the PC-11 spots. Then covered much of the hull with the longboard to judge how we did. Overall the result is not bad. There are still a few low spots which we will use microballons/epoxy as a fairing compound on. The PC-11 is very hard! Sanding one thin coat worked out ok. I’d hate to try another application of the PC-11. Primarily because it is so much harder than the polyester fg. A light touch is required to grind the PC-11 without attrition of the polyester fg.
