I am here to learn as well, my world is the car world, and tuning an Audi TT to 340bhp to be faster than my friends Porsche 911 997, have now moved on to a GT3RS!

So I would love to be pointed at more options, if the Triana is not the right boat then what is? Should I be looking at fitting surface drives, has anyone fitted lightweight tuned car engines, has anyone fitted some form of hydroplane, in the way they have to the moth sailing dinghy (that thing flies!!!!!). I am not one to always follow convention but so want to learn, I dont want to be risky (although there is always risk with innovation). Why does a 25ft Triana weigh in at 3 tonnes rather than 1 1/2 tonnes....

I really appreciate the help... so any more suggestions/thoughts greatfully received, but traditional looks, cabin, and efficient are pretty key to me :D
