That does fit ALL your requirements perfectly, no doubt!

    Especially the 12k $ budget!

I have to excuse that I misunderstood you completely. I thought you wanted to build a boat at 12.000$.
Now I see you are willing to spend that amount on monthly maintenance and op. cost.

    Sorry again.;)

On debt forgiveness, if that was a law people would abuse it and lenders would not lend except on short term loans fearful of people just not paying. That is problem we have now, people don't do what they contracted to do, that is pay their debts.

On Mac65, Yes dimension are right, but price of one of those is much higher than 12,000. Also they are actually not that well built of a boat. They were built for speed, not much else. Most were gutted and reinforced just for racing. I don't know how successful they were in racing . Also they where kind of uncomfortable being so skinny. They took beam to width ratio to extreme.

I am still astounded by some of your statements. You continue to display a complete lack of understanding of seaworthiness.

yep - debts are forgiven to the ones whose "risk models" failed allowed this whole mess to happen.

That was of the Sidney to Hobart race . It is a notoriously dangerous race .
there is lots of info , just Google it .

I took the picture down because I noticed that it had a copy write.

Thanks. I hope the seas are calmer on Bass straight than that when I sail from Adelaide to Brisbane with my mate in November.
