    Hi.
I am designing a container vessel of 2200 DWT with 2 Z-drive azimuth thrusters as the main propulsion system. But I am not finding the relevant formulae to do the necessary calculations (propeller diameter, rpm, etc.) for it. The rule books (GL,ABS, etc.) have only provided formulae for conventional rudders and propellers. I have calculated the power required to propel my vessel. Should I start selecting the thrusters from the various companies only on the basis of power calculations or do I need to find the formulae for azimuth thrusters? Can anyone help me find them?

    Please....its urgent....:( :(

I don't know any other companies but I'm sure that Aquamaster (KAMEWA Group) would be happy to supply you with information.
