inflatable catamaran design (big size)

Any 'big size' inflatable catamaran available or what are design characteristics to be considered in making one ?

 

Not a cat, but get two of them and who knows?

I like the idea! Go get two of those inflatable kayak-canoe like things, make a fold-able frame that holds it all together, with a sail board or hobie cat sail, and you got a 2-person plus catamaran that will store in a closet! Should not cost too much to make either. You could get by with a single rudder and center board on your frame (keep it simple!).

That is what I was looking for ,sort of 'ducky' sailing catamarans but bigger.

 

Take a look here. This guy did an outstanding job of using 2 canoes as a sailing catamaran.

A very nicely engineered vessel that seems to have excellent sailing characteristics. Throughout the video it appears as if the vessel is sailing with the tiller lashed.

bigger you may think of banana tubes..
order the bottom steps of but topmounts for the beams

 

I admit banana tubes look quite ad hoc , but they are preatty expensive aren't they ?
What puzzles me more is the solid structure and inflatable/structure joints.

 

Inflating or pressurizing a hull makes it stiffer without adding much weight. But it also tends to make the enclosed area unusable for other purposes.
