You the best, prinsen, welcome aboard.
The best for what? Engineering, drafting, modeling, the CAD world is getting larger every day.

    Welcome to the forums.

Take a look at http://forums.boatdesign.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82 and I would download or request a free demo for each and every one on the list. If you have a slower connection, then shoot for the highest rated ones at least. Everyone has different requirements, backgrounds, budgets, and different ways they work, so no one software will be perfect for everyone. Note that Rhino was a late addition so it would probably have received more votes than it did and will likely catch up with the others if it continues to gain popularity as it has recently.

    Noooo!
    Rhino is the best Prinsen!
Actually, Ive only used Pro engineer (dead expensive) and Rhino (much more affordable) and have to say my favourite is Rhino, especially if you have any previousl experience with 2D CAD like EASY/AUTOCAD. Very intuative.
Im not being paid by them to say this either!

www.rhino3d.com is the website I believe.

But each to his own, download all the free demos and try them...
