Lifting Centreplates

    Lifting keels
    I am trying to find what was supposed to be in place to lift the centreplate on a Ted Hood 53 ft 1969 design.
    Anyone have any information please?

    Tad Boat Designer

    Below is the layout of the 1968 Little Harbour 50, I would guess the 53 is the same....a wire over 3 sheaves running from the trailing edge of the board up to a reel winch on the cabin top.

    Centreplate sheaves.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Can anyone tell me the relative friction between different pulley sheaves? I have new Tufnell ones but the friction is so high I am having difficulty lowering the centreplate! What difference if plain bronze centres? What difference the original copper with plain GRP centres/bearings. What difference if I change to Harken stainless roller bearing sheaves as found in their blocks?
