just noticed a checkmark under the rating column of a recent post of mine. No one else seems to have this checkmark. I'm getting paranoid. What does this checkmark mean?

That checkmark means you are subscribed to the thread so depending on the options you have set under your User Control Panel you'll receive update notifications. Under options there you can choose whether the default behavior is to get instant email notifications if someone replies to a thread you've replied to, weekly updates, or no updates (where they'll be listed only in your usercp.) You can also choose update notification/thread subscription options for an individual thread when posting under "go advanced."
