Hello all! I am new to boatbuilding but have been a woodworker for over 20 years. I have built custom furniture to custom Acoustic guitars and wanted to get into wooden powerboats for the artistry and beauty. I have found plans for a RIVA AQUARAMA 27' with twin V8's at woodenboatplans.com and wondered if anyone has bought these plans and how detailed they were. I am a Firefighter here in Indiana and work 120 days a year so i have plenty of time to devote to my new adventure. I have read several books Illustrating tools, materials and the like so Im learning quickly. Any Info you might have to share from your experiences would be appreciated. I will be updating you all on this New project as it happens.

    Thanks so much!

    Thanks for the Info.

Looks like a pretty heated discussion on Riva plans with a lot of views on the subject. Although my riva style boat will be updated with some modern technology enhancements, it should look similar with twin V8's. Thanks for all the info and I'll post some pictures as the project progresses.
