8knots A little on the slow side

    Hello All
I am picking back up my sea-kayak project. I have a few prototypes and am happy with the results thus far. Do any of you composit guys know of a (for lack of a better term) starch or soluable fixative so that I can fabricate my own layup pre-form over a undersize male plug. This of course saves a lot of time in cutting and fitting strait to the female mold. Am I dreaming here?
This i hope will be a small shortcut in the production line of things.
    feel free to LOL 8Kts

How about a light spritz of some uncatalyzed resin? It might be sticky enough to hold the layers together and would dissolve when the preform is infused.

Yep sounds good! allso thought of clear gel-coat cut real thin? I wonder how much rigidity I can get out of this mad science. The preform will be just over 19' LOA and about 23" wide I will have to build a mobile support to carry the form to the mold Then just kind of "dump it in" Thanks for your time 8Kts
