    Hi,

I'm just looking for some general advice - I'm considering restoring a 30 foot clinker launch built in the late 60s.

The hull is apparently sound, but needs completely refurbishing and of course there could easily be hidden/unexpected problems with something this old, so I was wondering if anyone with a bit more experience could give me their opinion, and whether there are any well known problems you'd encounter with any wooden boat of this age.

    Cheers,
    Gus

Which Kingston are you in? I am in London and have a lot of experience with lapstrake.

If you know little about other boat building techniques or just want to learn,Then this is an opportunity for you to learn. (GET GONZO to look first.)
Trying to repair a rotten boat is like pushing a stocking full of hot diarea up a ladder.
