    I'm not sure the soft-top is canvas. Lots of US built boats (Glastron for sure) have thin fabric coated with vinyl, so nothing to impregnate. Searay has two thin layers of fabric with vinyl in between.

    The original poster has kept silent since 19 days, so I guess we're talking to ourselves again......

    Okay..thanks for clearing up a few things...that had been a head-scratcher off and on for me since I read that about resin ...I think I'll just go find a new sail.. hopefully...
