    Ship design engineer (hull piping)

I am interested in the hiring you've posted. I am a Mechanical Engineer but my experience is more on ship design. I am working in a japanese firm namely Tsuneishi TechnicalServices Phils., a ship design firm located in Cebu, Philippines. I have been trained in japan in a couple of times. Please see my attached resume below.
Thank you and hoping for your promt reply.

July 1997-Present Tsuneishi Technical Services, Phils. Cebu City
    Piping Design Engineer
The job is generally on planning and designing of piping arrangement in the hull part of different kinds of ship. The hull part of the ship comprises of the Aft Peak Tank, Steering Gear Room, Double Bottom, Upper Deck, Boatswain Store, Bulkhead, Side Shell and Forecastle Deck. The job also deals with the detailed designing like making pipe pieces and pipe supports for fabrication. The fabrication and installation of these pipe pieces and supports are also monitored to maintain the quality of the design at its’ highest level.
From September 1998 to December 1998, trained for 3 months in Tsuneishi Engineering Co., Ltd., Japan, the Mother Company of my present employer. The training program includes the designing of piping arrangement of an Aframax Tanker, Bulk Carrier and a Pure Car and Truck Carrier. Checking of piping arrangements, pipe pieces and pipe supports also takes part of the job. Monitors valve checklists, the kinds and types of valves to be used for the designs. Upon doing such activity, and if ever there is a need for the improvement of the design, revision of the diagram also takes part of the job if in case a need for improvement is necessary after the evaluation. Discussion with the owner’s representative also takes part of the job usually on their request for the design of the ship they want to order. There are certain cases in which the previous piping design need to be improve due to owner’s request and being an owner, their request should be followed after several discussion with the designer in charge, thus the modification of the design of piping arrangement also take part of the job.
From February 1999 up to August 1999, assigned as a resident field engineer in Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, (a sister company of Tsuneishi Engineering Co., Ltd) a company engaged in shipbuilding. The job is engaged in providing revisions and development of the ships’ design in the yard. Supports technical ideas to the shipyard-in-charge on aspects relative to the ships design and its’ related topics necessary in piping installation, comprehension of piping arrangement, installations of equipment such as control valve stand, lifting cylinders for hatch covers, oil pumps, windlass, mooring winch, emergency fire pumps, etc.
Implemented some work programs for the improvement of the field process .The programs aimed to lessen the work hours accumulated upon fabrication of pipe supports and pipe pieces as well as the design man-hours is concerned. In this process, the design and fabrication harmoniously done its job thus being able to reach at its highest level of design.
From September 1999 up to April 2000 – trained in Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, Japan on 3D MATES (Mitsubishi Advanced Total Engineering of Ships). The training deals on the designing of piping arrangement of ships with the use of three-dimensional software developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan. Arrangement of pipes, making three-dimension models of machines and positioning hull construction models is done through the use of this software. This process of ship designing has been a great help for the designer. In the sense that the errors that occurred using the previous process has been eliminated. The man-hours used are also lessened compared to the previous process thus designing a ship are done on a short period of time. The training is so comprehensive. It deals not only on operations but also on the troubleshooting part. Errors usually occur upon operating with the software due to its recent development. Solving these errors has been included in the training module. Viewing and producing an output of the design is done through this 3D based software. This software is developed for ship designing used.
From May 2001 up to August 2001 – worked in Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, Japan for the application of the said training mention above. The work deals with actual designing of ships using 3D Mates software and AutoCAD. As far mentioned above, the work covers hull piping part of different kind of merchant ships.
From January 2002 up to May 2002 - On the job training for making piping diagram such as fire and wash deck diagram, compressed air pipe diagram, scupper pipe diagram, hydraulic piping diagram, bilge and ballast pipe diagram, pneumatic air pipe diagram, sounding and temperature pipe diagram, air escape pipe diagram, etc. These diagrams cover the hull part of the ships. The job also includes making bottom plug arrangement.
From January 2003 up to June 2003 – invited by Tsuneishi Corporation, Japan, our mother company, to work for them as a technical support engineer for tanker projects. The job covers the entire pump room and upper deck. It includes revising of plans and designing due to owner’s request.
