    Ron,

In the reply menu hit the little paper clip, that opens a "manage attachments" window. Browse your computer from that window and find the file, upload it, then come back to the manage attachments thingy and insert it into the reply window....fun!

Flat Sides / to quote " Dont be an idiot , flat sheets have no strength.

just look at a car bonnet". "You have to have two percent curvature,in any material".

The keel depth was dictated largely by the depth of some rocks in Auckland Harbour. Particularly out to the east.

William Towns designed some of the better looking Aston Martins, Ad the Laghonda,
    and Bulldog. Oragami style .
He also did large V-12 mini moke type devises, Made of timber. As was the
    Marcos.

Marcos eventually went to a steel chassis. The reason being accident damadge
Nether panelbeaters or Boat Builders were keen to do repairs to the Chassis.

Stressed skin timber aircraft design played a part in the ' John Spencer Boats '
Schooling , as did the R.N.Z.A.F. at Whenuapai, circa 1948.

There were many photographs of the hull under construction in the yard at Browns Bay.

Mostly of interior , Fittings /rigging and the yacht going out of the shed, through up the hill out of Browns Bay.

Browns Bay now is covered in houses. The shed is still there though somewhat delapidated/neglected.

the Bays could have been said to be utopian in the 60s, there mostly 'affected' now.The type that continually
whined about the machinery . such is progress . Sealife has declined through the area.

"Those damn fizz boats scareing the fish", and jetskies , etc, etc.
