1995 sea rayder

    I have a 1995 sea ray sea rayder....the boat ran fine tell it got swamped
    in a micro burst in Fl....now the engine will not start..( got all the water out of it)....the engine is hard to turn by hand...the engine is a sport jet 120

    junk it or ????:confused:

    How long was it underwater? If less then a day and this event was less then a half a week ago, you might be able to save it. If it was longer, it needs to be rebuilt. or changed out.

    You should assume there's rust in places you don't want it, if it's hard to turn without the plugs in it. Most engines that have been submerged can be saved easily, if you get to them right away, drain them and start them up, to boil off any moisture or "pickle" them until you can get to it. If they sit for a while, they rust in a heartbeat and need to be broken down, cleaned, machined and reassembled.
