pist, thanks so much. The OMC schematic looks like a .pdf am i correct? if so could you email the file to me? Are you saying its on a disc and you cant get the file off the disc? and the other two look like you scanned a shop manual, cant really tell, but when i zoom in it ends up a little too blurry to see everything.

Par, lick my ba#&s. You obviously arent here to help, so stay out of my thread please. Thanks.

I write for a very large magazine on fault finding and I agree with PAR in many ways people can take on more than they can chew and may do damage and cost themselves money ...but who knows its your life your motor ..its not going to cost me or PAR a cent !!! You can leave me some good reputation if you like in thanks !!! I left some for you !! send me youir e mail address via PM and I may be able to send you the colour codes of the main cables you need to connect ....

JDM - if Pistn can't help with a full manual for whatever reason keep a lookout online for LIT-18626-00-94 which is the User Manual, or LIT-18616-00-23 which is the service manual (both Yamaha part numbers).

No longer available from Yamaha unfortunately, so it'll have to be old stock or maybe ebay.

    Good Luck.

pist, can you look at that yamaha schematic and tell me which wires are which color? zooming in blurs out the color codes.

got it running tonight, gonna complete the harness im making and gotta find a few peices for the cable attachment, other than that, should be in the water in the next few days. Will post pics shortly.

Pist, your diagrams ended up not helping, but i was able to find a source that gave me the colors and functions of the wires coming out of the OMC control box, and the same thing over on the yamaha side, but thanks for trying.
