I was looking to make a boat and would like to make the form or plug out of stryofoam. Is there a place to buy regular mix and pour foam or do you have to use the marine grade?
Where is the best places to buy these materials at a lower price

Thank you your help will be greatly appreciated

Styrofoam is not marine grade. Any home building supply store sells it. If you plan on using polyester or vinylester resins, they'll disolve the foam.

I think the coast gaurd approved polyurethane mix and pour floatation foam has some fire retardants in it. It comes in different weights and is sold where they sell fiberglass and shapes easily.
