[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]It runs. Pulled the plugs. Pumped out the water. Sprayed 'em all good with WD40 (didn't know what else to use.) Pulled the impeller. It's only 2 yrs old. I had to have pulled something through it to do this much damage.

New plugs, put it all back together. Started right up. No noises. A lil' rough idle. Next (when it cools down) I'll change the oil and set the timing. Let's hope it hangs together.

If the motor wasn't run for a while and you crank it the impeller is going to break like that every time. The rubber gets stuck on the metal if it stands for long.

What you should do before a start after a long stand time is to wet the impeller properly, then by hand and VERY slowly turn the engine to give the rubber a chance to tear loose from the housing. After it's first run you can start it up without that, only if the motor was in hybernation is it required.

    I thought you knew ???

Well, here, HOV lanes are to the left of the fast lanes, bypassing congested areas and usually faster yet. You get in one by being on a bus, driving a hybrid, paying a penalty, or carpooling. What I mean is, we are going down the same road as SA (because of perceived inequalities, real or not, pulling everyone down to the lowest denominator) and very quickly.

    I think he meant
put water on the asphalt and let it flow to were the blade is making contact

    if you water the saw
that blue smoke sparking deal is going to happen every time

    my two cents
    har har

Ive cut a lot of stone with a diamond blade in a skill saw
everyone freaks when they see me with a saw in one hand and a hose in the other
    keeps dust down really well
just make sure and miss the motor

    cheers

    Aye Rick,

What's with the Doh!!!! Doh!!!!... ? Ancient bird wasn't it ?

When I wired power to the workshop I chased using a magnificent machine from a friend that was made specially for the job. You're supposed to do the chasing in a few seconds... it even provides for a vacuum cleaner so no dust ends up in the environment.

It did the slotting in the wall, but the vacuum machine wasn't nessesary. I guess the slotting machine was still under development, the wife wasn't impressed since she had the clean the house out :D
