    Ok,
I can get a hull in under 4wks. I can have the company that has done the work on the topsides started in 4wks as well, they don't have any work. Now I need to figure out what I will need for my "partner" aka the Coast Gaurd.
    Thanks for the input guys.
I'm going to wait and see if I can get a commitment form the company that normally builds them and in the meantime see how difficult the process would be if I went out on my own. This is the right boat for this purpose, I'm going to do whatever I can to get it done in time.

Same hull as in the link I posted at the top. Tried, proven, successful, under 24" of draft.

I agree with you whole hardly with the above quote. The guy on the youtube clip that I saw designed the boat whether or not he is a NA/Yacht Designer I really don't know.

Call the USCG and get a copy of Subchapter "T" , these are the rules required to construct a 49 pax boat.

Go to boats&harbors, look for a cert. tour boat with all the Coast Guard bells ect. I have been searching a 100 pass. boat and have some to check out, if I find one that might work I can E mail, send me your E mail Fritz

I had worked for a large passengers (30 passengers) sail boat with the Coast Guard and it was a very pleasing experience. I find them very helpful during the design process and extremly patients and polite.
It is an experience I will do again in a heart beat, they know their stuff, and there are highly professional.
Beside that I have the highest estime for them and the job in general they do for the sailors.

You should also consider NVIC 10-92, "Coast Guard Recognition of Registered Professional Engineer Certification of Compliance with Coast Guard Requirements" when hiring a naval architect.

    Here it is:
