We do Bos, we live in our own self built jails here. There are no such thing as an open yard any more.

This is typically what our fencing looks like. It is however not enough. We have security doors and windows as well as dogs and inside and outside alarms as well.

The joke is if philamon hurts himself you get dragged to court...

round here we have a make my day law
and we are very well armed
only time we got robbed we were off on vacation and they chickened out after only stealing a few things
    like my air tools
    and the girls computer

    nice fence
were I in your neck of the woods Ild roll some razor wire out just inside the fence line and electrify it
its not considered a booby trap ( and therefor illegal ) if its in plain site and labeled "electric fence"
    at least around here

here everyone knows everyone else is packing so no one really steps that far out of line

Saffa is (was?) the home of the worlds best razor wire... It was around my place in Mt Hargen PNG, and supported with about 4 ft deep blackberry bush (the wire did not stop many - go over faster than one could run through an open gate), but the rampant blackberry made a difference - no "run-up" opportunity, and the fruit were Oh so sweet :D:D:D:D and the short attention span of those intent on "illegal entry" was distracted by the berries...

Fanie if you have a fence like that in Australia you would get fined as you could cut the crime. our police like to charge the victim off the crime also, but you can always send them on there way after you deal with them:D

And for the record Australia was one off the instigators of the sanctions but that was the government you cant blame the people as most are just sheep its like east timor not every Australian was for that.

Busy weekend. Two date nites in the IROC with the Miss's. Friday night cruise to the Dairy Queen for soft serve ice-cream. Snubbed by a Mustang GT driver (Arse). Saturday night to the movies to see Harry Pothead & the Half Baked Prince. Put vinyl siding on the garden shed & started the hardwood flooring in the living room. *sigh* Gonna have to go back to work to get caught up on my rest! :p

I can accept that crime is to be found all over the world, however, this is something else to deal with. The only reason there are a bit of police activity now suddenly is that they want to prevent the 2010 soccer to be affected. It doesn't curb the crime any, the scale of it is scary. I can't wait to see how it is going to turn out. It may be a good idea to go on holiday in another coutry for that month.

Anyway, better things to occupy the mind with. I think I'm getting old or something. With all the activity and excitement I forgot to order material for the wet out machine's bushes. Can you imagine that :D

I know it's not officially weekend (yet) but close enough it being Wednesday and all.

Naughty boy, that is what a weld should look like :D.

And the glass machine takes on shape sloooowly. Couple of unforeseen modifications already required. I hate when that happens :( I'm always wondering afterwards what I was thinking at the time. The English expression 'here but not all there' comes to mind

Aaaaahhhmmmm - Fanie?? did you see the picture of the "wombat" we used to wet out? The dry rool sits on top, the V'eed section has sliding sides - in a routed groove, and a heavy plastic bag is used to hold the epozy the cloth is passed through, the sides are pushed in, the bag is then filled with the accurately estimated amount of epoxy and pulled down by using the lower crank with a fairly tightly fitting plastic tube over it. When the desired amount is wound on, the crank is slid out, the tube with the wetted stuff is delivered to the build, under the windup crank is a cheep paint trough (as used when roller painting, and its surplus is returned to the plastic bag with a slit in the bottom) - the whole device quickly becomes double thickness with dried epoxy... it is made cheaply of MDF...

Is your device designed to be "fired" to remove hardened accumulations of epoxy?

I need a swarm of them here. They will learn very quickly who to attack, and we don't have trees to climb into inside the yard :D

I haven't seen your wombat. A link by any chance ?

I think the hardened resin can be broken loose from the inside by lightly tapping it then wedge it out, but the idea would rather be to clean it after use. Just wipe it out with some paper.

I have some paint troughs I used with fiberglass, made from PE the glass comes out very easily. There are a number of ways to prevent the dried resin to stick. At this stage I only want to see it work properly.

Ive worked various glue application machines in the past and by far the easiest way to clean em is to just light em on fire. I think you will find wiping the goop off messy at best and time consuming. Thing looks like it could withstand a few minutes aflame, might as well keep it that way and keep your options open.
    cheers
    oh
    thing looks nice
    hey Naughty
did you notice anything different about those welds
cause Im not sure they are supposed to be all nice and smooth like that what do you think :D

Hehehehe , wipe no way, burn easiest, including those little rollers for squishing it down once peel ply is applied - Trade secret which was discussed in a thread "what's this red stuff" or something similar - - - "Polyester taffeta" a fine cloth which does NOT stick to epoxy and allows the "fat" in the epoxy through so when cured and ready to work on that area again peel off the "peel-ply", fair a little then work else leave in place till ready to paint as it keeps the surface clean and ready for work when needed...

Cheeeesss Masalai. I thought that 'wombat' was part of your main structure :D That or a bookshelf for the head

I can see it will work with epoxy, but the cure time on resin may be a problem. My jobby will feed directly to the item under glass.

Why don't you electrify the fence and blow there testicles off.

How do you stop the dogs from eating poisoned meat.

Poisoning dogs is so popular here, if your dogs are dead you WILL be burgled the night after. Tell the police and they sit there waiting for them,-- stupid ********.
