My gut feeling is loads of PRACTICAL experience and a can-do capability will get you further - - document achievements that are out there and doing an excellent job in what they were designed to do and are readily adapted to new challenges is what the future successes will have...

You need to decide what it is you want to study and focus on that, then select the best place that can deliver it to you.

The University of British Columbia would probably not have what you're looking for. Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia has a N.A. program and a Mar. Eng. program, I think. As you are in China, you might want to look at the school Mike Johns mentioned. As well, if you have drafting skills, you could probably gain more practical experience by working for one of the builders in Taiwan, Philippines, etc. . Best of luck!

if my choice, i would do my masters/PhD at Southampton Uni in the UK.

But i am biased, cos that's where i did mine. :)

    Excellent uni.
