Exterior spud system for lcm8 landing craft

    Seeking advise on designing a removable spud system for a lcm8 aluminum landing craft.

    As always - your design will depend on the end use. Will the spuds be used to anchor, or to locate the vessel in mid-river say, or do you need to jack the landing craft out of the water?

    The two outboard spuds, one on each side will be used for anchoring the landing craft while a pipe laying operation. We intend to lay 4000 feet of 6" pipe from shore to a private island approx. half mile out. The max depht is 21 feet, protected waters and total distance is 0.6 mile. To lower and raise spuds we will use a hyd.crane onboard, other means of lowering/raising spuds are being considered; ideas and opinions are very welcome.
