Our company is looking for a set of 38-42' sport fishing style boat molds. We want something that is no longer in production that we can bring back to life. If you have molds or know of molds that are available, please let me know. Pictures of the molds would be helpful and pictures of a complete part from the molds would also be helpful. We prefer a hull mold with reasonable forward flair and tumblehome aft. However we will consider all options.

I was wondering if you knew what happened to BenchMark boats. They had a 36 and 38 foot model(s) great for fishing. Here is a link for a used one http://www.boatjunction.com/view_boat_details.php?RID=1234

If you could find the molds you might like these. They have a beam of 14 feet and are power catamarans. I have never seen one in person.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I want to build catamarans. The boat looks a little like a 38 special by Bertram in profile

Understood. Just responding to the "all options" comment. That's all I know about.

These people had several for sale awhile back up to 49' I believe. They stopped making them after Kirtrina. There site has pictures of finished boats. Hope this helps you. They are seaworthy boats with a long history.

    Wanted Boat molds

Thanks for the info. I know this forum has alot of boat people on it that have alot of contacts and info about different builders. I'm sure if I were a patient person I would find exactly what I am looking for. However, I started a plug some time ago and pushed it aside because we were busy building our other models. If anyone wants to look at my website you can see what we do and you can see what I am looking for in a 40'er.

You will see an industry first as far as recreational boats go. We have a transom that drops down like a tailgate on a truck. It is operated electro-mechanically.

The site is www.brooksboatworks.com Thanks for everyone's help

    38-42' Sportfisher Molds

My partner and I are liquidating our boatbuilding business. We have molds from 37' to 57'. They are located in the Pacific Northwest U.S., north of Seattle. You can go to http://www.coastalpassagemaker.com and http://www.alaskasbestlodge.com to see the boats we build from these molds. The molds used to belong to Delta Marine Industries in Seattle and were originally designed for inspected charter sportfishing vessels. Hundreds of 43' and 50' charter boats were built by Delta from this tooling.

    Hi.
Why not develop your own design and molds. We will be able to assist and can assure you that we will be able to make new molds to very close to what you will be paying for used ones.

That Brooks 40 SFX is hot...nice job! Our mold would be more for a downeaster style 46' with a 17' beam designed to run under 25k. I have to move it, fast, because we sold the property. It would definitely be worth changing the transom to tumble home on the mold.
