Am looking for a builder to construct a one off sailboat in fiberglass in the 28 to 30 foot range. Canada or the U.S. preferable. Boat design is a lightweight trailerable racer/cruiser without a lot of frills. Interested parties may e-mail me at arthurwkelly@msn.com

For some reason I am showing up as a junior member. Flattering, but not the case. :)

  3. Hi, Arthur,

I got an American friend who has been building sailboats here in China for years and maybe he and me could help with your project.

Could you please forward me more details of your boat.

    Yours truly
    George

Thanks for the response George. Travel and shipping costs to build this boat in China would outweigh any potential savings in labor. I was hoping for a small to mid-size operation in the U.S., Canada to respond. Might even consider Mexico or the Carribean.

Arthur, I have a small custom building/repair shop in Newport RI, we have over 15 years of production building experience, building everything from sailboards, Olympic keelboats, to offshore fishing boats. we are always on the look out for an interesting project and good people to work with. If you are still loking for a yard drop us a line.

    Hi George,

I am doing a project, building Powercatamaran from composite as a
production line. I am interested in to get information about boatbuilders
in China. It would be interesting to contact with you and with your
    American friend about this project.
    My Web Site is: www.m-pcm.com

    Best regards,
    Nir Egal

    Arthur,
I don't know if this is to late but I have a shop in Kenosha WI and I would be happy to take a look at what you have going. I may have open shop time coming up in late Sept. through project end. www.fiberglassdr.com/main

    Hello all:

I'm a US attorney representing several parties building large
vessels here in Southern China. I also have interests in
several fabrication operations here locally that might serve
    some of your needs.

    Respond to "michael@lawonline.cn"
if we can put you in touch with several local folks who can
    build/design/repair etc your vessels.

We are not affiliated with any yards, as I said, I represent
the folks buying here. We just keep an eye on things for
    them locally.

    Michael Sylvester
