    Frosty - Need to point out an error in your statement

    There is approx 15% of Australia's land mass that enjoys temp similar to Dubai.
    Last year I was on a new build project at Al Jadaf Dry Docks, the yard office recorded 51c highest temps over the summer period with 88% humidity.
    In Aus places like Lightning Ridge, Coober Pedi and the North West ranges in WA average 40-50c every year.

    I thought the biggest in demand skill in Dubai is
    car parking attendants for the all expats leaving their cars at the short stay at the airport...

    I am from India ,Diploma in Mechanical,57 years,Having 20 years experience in GRP boat building ,Pleasure yacht,Patrol craft,Military Boats,Retofits ranging from 5 mtr to 20 mtr,Displacement Hull,Semiplaning,Deep V etc .Boats built as per classifications LRS,IRS,DNV,IMO ,ABS and ABYC,

    I was looking after Production/Control,Materials plan,Vendor development Indeginous/Import,Estimation,Material control,Recruitment,Tendering,Management information system etc.

    I have experience in single skin,Sandwich(PVC,FOAM,PLWOOD,BALSA,COREMAT),Hand layup,Spray and Vaccum moulding.

    Equipments-Twin screw,Single screw,Sterndrive ,OBM,Hydrualic/Autopilot steering

    Looks like gnab posted a job offer and then didn't answer to anyone. There seems to be a lot of bogus offers like that for the Middle East.

    The original post by gnab was 2007, like you say probably bogus and why it keeps floating to the top.
    I just this week finished with a UAE company and got ripped off badly in my final settlement.

    The UAE laws are so bad they offer no real protection for expat consultants or employers against companys, its when the victim is a local is there any action.

    I would not recomend working or consulting in Dubai or anywhere in UAE or ME to anyone.
