I have a jet boat with a berkley pump from the 1960's. It was a prized posession of my brother before he died. Anyway, I had it shipped from Ca to NC. I had a marine shop put in a new engine (I believe a olds 455) and it has never run. I believe there is water in the oil. The guy who did the work essentially ripped me off. Does anyone know of a reputable shop in the southeast? I might even take it back out west, if I can find the right place. Thanks alot for your help.

For all Olds engine information, the best place is www.mondellotwister.com, you can reach their technical assistance and orders @ 805-237-8808. Another good reference for the jet drives questions is GS Marine in Corona California, 951-272-6060. I have ordered many parts through Pro Boat Service located in Woodstock, Georgia, you can reach them at 770-928-1533. WWW.donspumpservice.com is an excellent website too for questions regaurding your berkeley jet pump. WWW.cpperformance.com has many parts for your set-up.

Thank you so much for the information, I really appreciate it. Hopefully I'll be able to restore this boat to its former glory. Kim

Syracuse eh, is there a factory or just a dealership? I'd love a tour.

Did see the date of the initial post, but there is a shop about an hour south of Ashville N.C. called Smoky Mountain Jet boats in Bryson City . They'll be able to help out in the area for most things... Guy's name is Adam, 828 488 7809

Don't know a shop, but the mecca for that kind of boat is Lake Havasu in AZ. I don't normally say go to another forum but try http://www.performanceboats.com/. They have a forum with lots of people who have jet boats with olds engines and berkeley pumps.
