Im looking at a mold for a 40+ ft sport fisher. The hull mold is there but the deck/house mold was destroyed in a storm some years ago. Questions for the experts:

    1) The hull mold has a hull inside for many years now. Can this hull be used and finished into a "new" boat? Or would there be potnetial issues. If so what issues?

    2) How complex would it be to re create the deck/house mold and have it fit properly onto the hull mold? I understand that the molds or products inside need to line up properly to be fastened down. It seems as though recreating half of the mold may lead to alignment issues...???

Would it just be a better idea to re create the molds from scratch?

Yes the hull could be finished....... was it stored inside or out?? If indoors it will be easier to build, if outdoors it may or may not be worth it.

As for the Cap mold and such your best bet would be to finish a hull and build everything from scratch and make molds from that.

Also don't by the first mold you see there are quite a few for sale
