    Hi all,
Is it possible to extract out a 3D hull form in shipconstructor using mainly the lines plan? I have a full unlimited version of shipconstructor in my office.

    3D models

Find atached my program with 6 examples. It is programmed in Fortran, VRML and Visual Basic.

To create 3d model program is using the hull data base used for hydrostatics. Program calculates actual stability and response on waves using several methods. There is README.TXT file with short instructions on how to use it.

    Instruction for installation:

    1. Download attached 3D_demo.ZIP in temporary directory, unzip it and start
    INSTALL.BAT

    2. Download : Cortona VRML Client 4.2, from following address
    http://www.parallelgraphics.com/products/downloads and install it.

    3. Execute 3DMOT.EXE from c:\3dmot directory.

It is my own program programmed in Fortran, but this 3D modeling can be extracted and made as independent program.

    Hi Davor..

thanks for the demo Davor, however i am more concerned about getting a 3D model compared to the hydrostatic properties of the vessel itself. In fact the demo has been quite a revelation to myself a new engineer in this maritime profession. Thanks Davor!!

Harold, I'm afraid that this software is only available only if u are going to purchase it.. so far i've not heard of any demos for it.. u can try www.albacore.com..they might actually have it.

    3D-model

This software is not devlped for comecial use. It would be posible to extract 3D module. It use hull data (coordinates of the points that describe a hull) written in text file.

I will think about making comercial version of this program, as VRML is completely open (you can edit by notepad every of attached WRL files and change what ever). Furthermore it ocupies very litle memory.

You can get on screen any of attached files by double clicking the file (without executing 3dmot.exe).

VRML has no limits in number of ojects, colors, transparency and motions.

I made this program just to visualise results of stability and dynamics.
