    Crest Falls - Ouch...

    Hello...

Saran wrap scan to heightfield - bent and sheared - then a twist on a rail and spine...

Geezus...:) - original was a huge file - trimmed it - just bend straight - or 1D transform - or copy and paste a few - 3DM should give some clues...

Lazey - thanks for the offer...

I think scatter fields can do the foam on the break fall...

Again - thanks Lazey - Bknot - other...

Lazey see http://www.boatdesign.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/12589/ppuser/3673 - have yet to get to freeing ports or other...

    cheers folks...

Do you guys have Bongo for Rhino...

hy.. i need a simple answer as i dont have much idea about engine.
i am going to measure power and resistance using hullspeed.. i need to put engine efficiency... my question is what is the range of engine efficency i will put? i am doing for small container ship of 74 m .. speed will be 11-14 knots

    thanks

    hy..

i have attach a 3d model done in rhino.. i am not happy with thewave .. canu tell me how i can make more realistic the wave by rendering... i used vray fo it..
does flamingo has advance feature for making good wave render?

Zeroname by what method did you create the waves? I start with a flat-water surface, which I make a glass like surface with a green tint with bump map. I then put another surface under it, which has a coloured surface. The top surface can be generated by either Sean’s method or by direct manipulation of the surfaces it’s self. I find this method gives me a clear top but stronger colour underneath. The renders were done in flamingo.

i used hullspeed to calculate the resistance and then get the corresponding wave shape at a particular speed ( it was 11knts) .. i just import the surface to rhino and used bump map in v-ray ..
is flamingo better than vray or same ?

Zeroname how did you export/import the wave field into rhino from hullspeed as I think you have scaling issues. It appears the wave heights are too large. I think in this case it’s the way you assign materials to surfaces more than the renderer you use.

i used to calculate the resistance and power for speed 11 knots.. and hullspeed gives me corresponding wave surface.. then export it as .dxf and import it in rhino.. just make an mirror and used V-ray to render..

    What...

    Hello...

I do not like being called brilliant - keep that bit a bit hush - I do not want the responsibility that is attached to same - besides - I am a really a dumb hill Billy poke to be doing this stuff in the first place...

Tell you what is brilliant - Carbonite Online backup - unlimited for about 50 bucks a year - if I had done same - I would not now be without a year and a half of work or 'mental meandering' - ****...

Any way thanks - I get bored quickly - ADS...

Thank God for this site - need to start pulling my files out from same and rebuilding - when Bill Gates dies - I will have to clap my hands with glee...

If he does not die soon - I may sell my now worthless Ford and invest in a rocket launcher...

    Thanks again...

    It's all 'scanner play'...
