    Yes... rhetorical question...:D

I can't speak for the US but all the big Toyota's here, at least to my knowledge have diesel options. That would be a Toyota US decision, why I could not imagine.

Boston, I think one needs to be aware of where the sensors are put and the scale represented in such movement records.... On Frosty's nob the readings would be quite erroneous / erogenous - - er - - unreliable.... To record his ecg or as a lie detector impossible to tell, and to measure his blood/alcohol level - a possibility for the first 5 minutes at any pub....

This all translates and is similar to readings of the earth's crust.... When a big earthquake hits, EVERYTHING goes plastic and fluid.. :D:D:D:D:D option - sit down in a cleared space with large beer in hand and drink lots more to facilitate becoming personally flexible and plastic to be able to withstand the onslaught....

So it seems the planet can hold 2 billion people sustainably and we now have 6 billion... we, apparently, are in "overshoot" !?

Go pull yourself together man we are not as smart as yeast and do not know when to stop - - even lemmings know better.... but we do make rather good fertilizer or food for other organisms in our death.... :D:D:D:D so it seems we have some little use...

This may not deal with the fact of co2 footprint, but can afect cost

We, The American people have prooved we can tighten our belts, the recent drop in oil pricws prooves that. As for OPEC, and their greed in lowering production to increase cost, the American people should send a clear message, every time oil exceeds $50 a barrel, we should do what they did to us in the '70 s
Embargo, One week of no sales would darn near bankrupt the OPEC nations.
We Can not allow foreighn goverments to dictate prices, and world economies to us, If we do, then we all better learn to talk chinese! As for Electric, and later hydrogen vehicles, There is already technologies in plase that can generate masive amounts of free storable elecricty from the sun, we just need to implement them, and stop letting the big oil companies run, or ruin our nation! My home, and vehicles run on power derived from a 20' solar reflective tower, plus provides a decent income from the leftover sold back to Pacific Power and gas. I currently get over 350 miles on one overnight charge from power accumulated during the day, and pumped into my vehicles overnight! If I can do this, on a disability income, then I know that well funded agencys can do much better. My estimated co2 footprint is at .0002 ppm in a 24 hr period, and that comes from lubrication.

well Im going to have to go with Meany on this one again
    been sayin this for years
my fave question though was the one about what our govs are doing about it
anyone remember when I mentioned that the world health organization is responsible for most of the aids cases in africa
seems they provided plenty of doses of "inoculations" but not enough needles
then made it mandatory that all family members use the same needles
now in a country that can not find enough needles in the first place do you think they will just happen to have the sterilizing equipment needed to reuse old needles

also the unusually high mercury level of the "inoculations" was known to cause sterility

people were hiding in the bush when the who came to a village and eventually the "doctors" traveled with a military escort to "help" protect them against angry locals

I think the gov tried and as usual pathetically failed to do something at least covertly about population growth

although in Africa at least the un has revised its population numbers down for the first time ever just a few years ago thanks to the aids ep
