Spent the weekend messing up a straight forward fibre glassing job .First of all I started late ran out of light and had to use a halogen lamp ,this attracted every insect that had ever hatched in PMB. My underlay now looks like fly paper hundreds of little bubbles with an entombed insect. Well I’ll have to sand down and start again. Applied fairing compound to the sheath that went well and striped off the last of the rotten deck on the starboard side. Spent some time on the wiring All in all not bad weekend:)

Made the four boat bumpers on Friday and put rope through them.

Bought a foam cutter on Saturday (f expensive :( 4 5 c), cut the little tri's new beams in foam and joined them in the kitchen... only place where there's a bit of space, and a friend helped me wrap them this afternoon. Test vacuumed the one and it looks good.

Been waiting for more than a week for Harvey fiberglass to come to light with my stuff, so I guess they're not interested in my business. Tell me who else is there I can buy stuff from :(

Fi Saffa's you all seem to have been productively and gainfully employed - as for me - Bugger all, couple of visits to see Mum in the nursing home and accepted an invite for "champaign at Altitude" - a new land release behind "the office with a view" - just a short walk away so I will do my best to do a Frosty and consume lots of free stuff..... promo video here http://tsr2.propvid.tv/tsr3/externals/approveExternal/3902 - not as good as my place :D:D:D

I also made me a mins / sec timer to time the infusion with. It gives an audible tone on each minute and can time 90 mins.

    Big Day Monday

Usually i cant walk on Mondays because i am so stiff and sore from my weekend boat building BUT today after a couple of whiskeys i gathered enough courage to get me PALACE out of zee jig.

    Its a beautifull sight!

So anyway as you can see if the boat was a foot longer i cant get back into the house or worse still my FRIDGE - by the way this is my fridge in the garage for me beers and wine, its as old as the hills but still carries on.

Fanie i also included a pic of the little sander i got on a sale - all my tools are attached to pool hose and then onto a domestic vacuum - works very well. this little sander has got the pads that attaches with velcro - neat - its gooood

So i dont know if my boat will be at Wynands Lightning6 launch BUT I WILL BE

so why arent you mothers flippen commiting
    i have got 2 tents and a 12v fridge

i want to hear you say I WILL BE THERE
    say it :D :D :D

aneeeeewaaaay just pullin the piss outa ya muffers
work is gonna shut down 2 weeks fora hols
    missus is cheesed
    i build boat
    drink whiskey :D :D :D
    kinda strange hey ;)

Manie the missus will feel different about the boat when you take her (without the kids) for a spin in it ;) But yes, they are usually a bit puffed when you work on the boat.

You can have it done if you pull finger, just try and do something every day.
