    Guys guys guys

Again a thread which ends in shitty fight...
Did some brief reading of posts here and it is a race, let them race at whatever speed they wish as long as they do not run into third parties which have nothing to do with the race...., people attempting the race should know the dangers and live with it. Otherwise one can stop all other competitions involving speed...

    Just my view

The official opinion of the GGYC

Here is the official opinion Golden Gate Yacht Club:

    http://www.ggyc.com/20080923_PR%20GGYC_Renews_offer_to_return_the_America's_Cup_to_water_FINAL.pdf

    in particular:

If you would agree to immediately support a conventional multi-challenger America’s Cup regatta in Valencia that would include GGYC and be conducted under the rules like the ones in the 32nd America’s Cup, then we will dispose of the current lawsuit and avoid a match in multi-hulls (which GGYC did not desire in the first place),” the letter said.

But Larry didn't build the BMWO tri for not to race. Although it might be a record breaker as well. Guess they are planning a duel of the giant multi's. I saw sketches of what Ernesto has got in mind with the duel. It will be the biggest multi ever build.

Guess that is the reason for their meeting
