Mas, there is a site in italian dedicated to Levi's work. Unfortunately it has not been translated in english so you'll just have to watch the pics and read the numbers. This is the site:

    http://www.altomareblu.com/?page_id=1259

To see the various boats, click the links under the title "Pagine", at the center-right of the page. There's plenty of pics to see. :)

    Youtube...

    Hello...

Youtube is the best thing yet...

I did not know that the Bananas were splashes from Aronow moulds - great stuff...

    See http://www.historicraceboats.com/gallery.htm ...

This caught my wandering eye - the one that goes 360 and scares people...

I don't like the strake though - chine does not fall aft - goes dead flat...

Well - 'its that four finger neat time again' - so mind my further posts...

    Deep vees

Before we tack tooo far, and the new sketch looks great Sean. I want to mention Aronow's designer that was kept out of the limelight, he was Mark McManus Mark made the Dee Vee work and the new composite structural details he invented are common place today. Don was the promoter and I am not sure that was less important to the field. Unlike Cigarette,, Levi would run his strakes parallel to centerline (did all Europeans? Shead?) McManus did the strakes following the hull curve up the bow, because it was easier to place as a molding on the plugs. Everyone (US) said those were styling lines since they seldom contributing to the lift at speed. Levi Design has gone the next level and widened the bow chine's lately into a aerodynamic lifting surface. Extremely clever and maybe useful on a 75 mph plus boat.

    Masalai...

    Hello...

Maybe I will rebirth this lot...

DSTB - dead simple to build - psuedo garvey for sheet material...

    See http://www.boatdesign.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/2348/ppuser/3673 ...

I think my sailing days are done - I want a Fraser River - bash about boat - in welded aluminum with O/B power...

Also mucking with sheering the VSV 14 and cutting into the developed panels to produce a more traditional stem profile from the CL...

BORED - would be the word...:)

TAD - what do think the wake would look like off such a thing...:)

Always wants to curl from the outside and come back together - I just thought that perhaps running the fairbody and transom aft might cancel and run out same a bit parallel - plus it just looks cool to me...:)

Wish I had a tow tank or some CFD programs...

DCCD - thanks for bringing up McManus...
