Lads, take a look at these gorgeous models of the Morecambe Bay Prawner fishing boat which fished off the north west coast of England at the turn of the century and are now converted to yachts.

The builder is http://www.waverleymodels.co.uk/ and I swapped emails with the guy this week who reports `The Prawner hull is about 44” and with a 6v 4amp hr gell cell battery and a little lead sails like the real thing. I have sold 60 or more and every one sails fine. Deck fittings are few and are made from timber, I can supply the rudder, rudderpost and the fittings for the rudder servo my own design soon to be published in MMI. When built I can supply a set of sails to your sizes

The drawings are full size and have templates marked, Cockpit is a removable all in one piece which is watertight.'

Loa 44", Beam 13", Draft 4" They look like the real boat! (@36')

    Enjoy

Reminds me of the pearling luggers that used to operate from Thursday Island and round to Broome etcetera on the top end of Australia.... Very nice and comfortable...

Not for the backyard builder, but interesting.

bntii, there is something strangely attractive about that picture.
